Club Information, In Brief
To begin with, Hamilton Academical came into existence in 1874. Indeed, the club plays their home games at the New Douglas Park. Moreover, this new stadium opened in 2001 and has a capacity of around 6,000. Of course, this new stadium replaces Douglas Park which was their home between 1888 to 1994. Therefore between 1994 and 2001, Hamilton Academical had no home. However, they played at Cliftonhill and Firhill Stadium on a share basis.
Hamilton Academical have no big honours as such but have won the lower Scottish leagues. Also, they have been runners up a few times. Obviously their nickname is The Accies and they play home games in red and white.
