To begin with, Leeds United were one of the big players in English football. Indeed, they have won the top flight three times. Leeds also won the FA Cup in 1972 but lost the final to Sunderland in 1973. However, Leeds have won the League Cup and the Fairs Cup. Together with their European appearances, Leeds Utd have a lot of history. However, they did fall from grace and are still rebuilding for their faithful supporters.
Elland Road is still Leeds’ home ground. Indeed this is the case since they came into existence in 1919. In fact, when in full flow, the Leeds Utd fans are some of the loudest in the country. Moreover, the supporters are some of the most loyal around having seen some highs and lows.
Traditionally, Leeds play their home games in all white strips, thus their nickname of The Whites. However, Leeds Utd have got two other nicknames, United and The Peacocks. Obviously, their local rivals are Bradford City and Huddersfield Town. However, on a national scale, Manchester United, Chelsea and Millwall are all traditional rivals.
